Navarrete was crowned Nuestra Belleza Jalisco on July 16, 2009 in her hometown held September 20, 2009 in Merida, Yucatan. On August 23, 2010, Navarrete was crowned Miss Universe. She became the second Mexican to win the title.
Navarrete, who also grew up in Guadalajara is one of two brothers born to a dentist and Gabriela Navarrete Carlos Rosete. He began to recognize the world model at the age of 16 years and had studied at the University majoring in Nutrition Valle de Atemajac. But he was more interested in focusing on the beauty scene that followed.
